The Hearts for the Invisible Charlotte Coalition is protesting at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center on December 14, 2020 to demand:

  • city officials, in partnership with all of the organizations on the ground, FINALLY creates and executes definitive and real action to address the growing tent communities around Charlotte

  • city officials aggressively advocate for Governor Roy Cooper to extend Executive Order #171 to stay evictions past its expiration on December 31, 2020

  • systemic change in how homelessness and housing insecurity is handled in Charlotte

  • the end of the lack of action and apathy of Mayor Vi Lyles and the Charlotte City Council

02. VIRTUAL PROTEST - Email & Call Governor Roy Cooper 12/14 thru 12/18 to demand Executive Order #171 (Stay on evictions) be extended

Join The Hearts for the Invisible Charlotte Coalition in virtually protesting December 14 thru December 18 to demand Governor Roy Cooper stop the expiration of his Executive Order #171 which provides eviction protection on December 31, 2020. Hundreds of thousands of families and individuals are facing eviction in North Carolina, many of them residents of Charlotte. Demand Gov. Cooper extend EO#171.
